I've been unable to wear shorts or skirts that hit above the knee in 14 years (the scars have faded very little in that amount of time - they're still thick, ropey and puffy, and they stretch from one side of my thigh to the other. In addition, I also have some pretty severe scarring on my thighs from self-injuring when I was younger. I'd like to begin covering it up as needed for work, especially so that I can get practice for the wedding. I have a wedding to go to in a few months, and while my tattoo has a lot of familial significance for me, it's visibility is becoming increasingly inappropriate the older I get (and as I get jobs that are more and more professional). I've got a rather large tattoo on my upper back. I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post about this, but since part of it deals with SI scars, I thought I'd give it a whirl.
